Innovative system of crossbow loading
Ballista crossbows is the only crossbows in the world with a built-in self-retracting cord tensioner. With this technology, loading the crossbow is quick, easy and noiseless! Therefore, even women and teens can easily handle this crossbow. In cramped conditions, this system allows for instant and silent reloading. The cocking system is designed to make sure that the maximum force applied over the entire length of the stroke does not exceed 72 pounds.
PRESS-FREE MAINTENANCE
Hawkwing is the first crossbow that needs no press for service. Thanks to its dual-cable architecture, you can safely relieve tension and replace the string, cables, or even limbs using a standard hex key. The included cam-alignment screw lets you re-sync timing and limb balance in minutes—right in the field. This press-free design extends string life, preserves accuracy, and keeps the crossbow consistent shot after shot.
Precision Calibration
Each cam has two marks: the outer shows maximum tension, and the inner shows minimum. Tension is adjusted by tightening or loosening the cables with a hex wrench. You can fine-tune the draw force in small increments, allowing you to increase or decrease arrow speed by 30–40 fps. For more detailed adjustments, please refer to the User Manual.

The crossbow features an automatic anti-dry-fire (ADF) mechanism that blocks the trigger unless a bolt is seated. This prevents accidental releases, protecting the limbs, string, and cams from destructive shock—the most common cause of damage. Built on premium materials— composite limbs, a 6061-T6 aluminum riser, and reinforced polymer components—the system delivers high strength and long service life. Hawkwing is built for 6 mm (0.236") micro-diameter carbon arrows to maximize performance. Our ~150 gr, 350 mm (13.78") carbon shafts combine a corrosion-resistant tube with precision aluminum nocks, ensuring stability, efficiency, and durability under heavy use. Unlike plastic, aluminum nocks hold a secure fit for consistent accuracy.
